Our Harbour Explorer options are great for riders of all abilities - the trail is completely flat, and you’ve got the option to extend your ride at either end if you’re keen for a longer ride. Includes a ferry trip as well! If starting from Wellington, click here to book; if starting at Days Bay, click here.
The Pencarrow Trail in Eastbourne is very popular, and also great for all abilities. Keep to the flat if you prefer, or if you’re keen for more adventure, climb the hill to NZ’s oldest lighthouse. The trail can be pretty exposed in strong winds, so check the forecast first! To book, click here.
The Remutaka Rail Trail in Kaitoke is another great option, for those after beautiful mountain scenery. Ride through tunnels and across swing bridges, on either an out-and-back ride or combo it with a shuttle from the end. Click here to find out more.

Wellington Harbour Explorer: 23km, with the option to add on extensions to Pencarrow Lighthouse (add up to 25km) or the Wellington waterfront (add up to 20km)
Pencarrow Coastal Track: 20km return, with the option to add 3km if riding up to the top lighthouse.
The Remutaka Rail Trail: 18km from our base to the end of the trail at Cross Creek. A further 10km if heading all the way to Featherston. Or do an out-and-back of whatever length you prefer!

If you’re staying in Wellington without any transport, we highly recommend booking one of our daytrips - we pick you up (and drop you back afterwards) from our central Wellington location, and take you to ride the incredibly beautiful Remutaka Rail Trail at Kaitoke. Alternatively, you can either hire a bike from our central Wellington location (click here) or hop on the East by West Ferry to reach our Days Bay site.

Our main Pencarrow site in Eastbourne is open everyday, 10am-5pm, except Christmas Day.
Our Wellington site is open Monday-Friday, 9.30-3.30pm. From end of September, it’ll be open at weekends as well.
Our Kaitoke site is open 10-5pm most days, weather permitting. Advance bookings highly recommended.
Our Days Bay site is open seasonally for kayak & paddleboard hire. Year round bike hire is available anytime if booked in advance.

We Love Local
We use local caterers and accommodation, and all our staff live and work in the areas of the trail that we service. We love to support the community of both Eastbourne, and the wider Hutt Valley and Wellington areas: by offering donations, raffle prizes, special discounts for schools, charities & community groups.

Our Sites
We use rainwater collection systems at our sites, and provide recycling systems for our staff, guests and the general public to use. Our off grid Kaitoke site has been specifically designed & set up to minimise it’s impact on the environment, and runs on solar power.
